Meet Faiqa Saleem

I’m Faiqa Saleem — a certified speech and language pathologist, play advocate, and the heart behind Bee Expressable. My journey didn’t begin with a business plan — it began in quiet therapy rooms, where I sat cross-legged with children who were struggling to connect with the world around them. From non-verbal toddlers taking their first communicative steps to school-age children preparing for their first classroom experience, I’ve walked closely with families through moments that changed everything.

One of my proudest journeys began through a screen — a hyperactive, non-verbal child I worked with entirely through telepractice. In just one year, with consistent online therapy, play-based strategies, and family collaboration, that child transformed. He now enters sessions calmly, tells me exactly what he wants to do, and confidently expresses his needs and preferences — a true testament to the power of connection, even from a distance.

Another child came to me completely non-verbal. Through structured play, visuals, and coordinated support with the family and school, he not only began speaking — he enrolled confidently in a mainstream school. That’s the kind of transformation I live for. But my work doesn’t end at the therapy table — I train teachers, collaborate with schools, and support children with Down syndrome through feeding challenges using playful oral-motor programs that build sucking, biting, and chewing skills.

Over time, I noticed a serious gap in our clinical landscape: Pakistan lacked culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate speech-language materials. So, I began creating my own — first for my clients, then for other therapists, and now for families nationwide. This is how Bee Expressable was born — the first business in Pakistan offering resource materials designed by certified professionals, tailored specifically to children’s age, needs, and neurodiversity. It’s not just a shop — it’s a platform where therapy, empowerment, and family-centered care come together.

Every card, tool, and toy on Bee Expressable carries a story, a clinical purpose, and a whole lot of heart. This is more than my profession — it’s my purpose. And through Bee Expressable, I’m here to make sure every child gets the chance to express themselves — joyfully, confidently, and at their own pace.
